Serving 7 days a week, our rotisserie ovens and house-baked focaccia are the centre point of lunch at The Trading Route. The best lunch in Manchester city centre? Not for us to say – come down and judge for yourself.

Whether you’re after a speedy bite on the go, or you’re looking to luxuriate over lunch with a couple of drinks, we’ve got you covered. While our ovens will also be slow roasting whole and half chickens, carved to order, we’ve got plenty of other lighter options for those looking for something different. Our small plates are show stealers in their own right – especially the rotisserie potatoes served with chicken fat mayo, salsa verde, and pecorino – but our salads and sandwiches are where it is at for lunch in Manchester.

Our sandwiches have all quick become house favourites – whether it is our vegan Cavelo Nero (served with pistachio pesto and roasted tomato), Burrata (tomato, pistachio pesto, torocket – vegetarian, of course), or the signature Chicken (pistachio pesto, chicken fat mayo, gem lettuce), they’re all sensational. Served up on freshly house-baked focaccia, they’re available every day from 12. We’ve also got Manchester’s favourite Chicken Ceasar Salad on the menu – unmissable.

For those looking to linger a little longer, our sweets selection is enough to cancel afternoon plans for. Choose between key lime pie, or freshly baked cookies – both unbelievably good. Of course, our full drinks selection is available too if you’re sticking around, including Manchester Union lager fresh from the brewery, the finest wines, and a cocktail selection that includes both made to order specials and bottled classics.
