We’re all about serving great beer at its very best, by any means necessary. Manchester Union deliver the finest from their brewery in Ardwick every day, to make sure it is as fresh as possible; every pint is served in a custom-made oversized Turbinger glass, allowing for a continental head to perfectly balance every drink; and the team pour each and every drink to allow for a full, frothy finish, with the perfect harmony of flavour and carbonation, ideal for any time of day. We’re committed to the bit: there’s no other way we could be the home of the foam, really.
And yes, of course we have happy hour too. Come on, drink up.
HOT ROTISSERIE CHICKEN.
Rated by The Telegraph as one of top 5 places in the country for it (“a vibey place for beer and rotisserie chicken – what better combination could there be?”), the cornerstone of our full menu is freshly roasted chicken served with house pickles and finished with beer salt crumb. Simply choose your size (whole or half), select whether to marinade it in our classic herb oil or today’s special, pick your sauce, and decide if you want our signature chicken gravy or chip shop curry to pour over it, and we’ll carve it hot out of the oven and straight to your plate.
Beyond the rotisserie, we serve a full food menu, including sandwiches served on focaccia, freshly baked in-house, plus Bratwurst (both meat and vegan), our much-loved Bavarian Manc & Cheese, classic desserts (try the Manchester Tart), bar snacks, and much more besides.

ROASTISSERIE SUNDAYS.
What other way to end the week is there than a roast? Well, how about a roastisserie. Every Sunday, in addition to our hot chicken carved to order, we cook up a roast sirloin of beef, both served with all the trimmings – supplied by our friends at Littlewoods, a small traditional butcher who specialise in dry aged, grass fed, free range local meat. There’s also our vegetarian main of squash, feta & spinach filo pie, plus primo sides like roasted leek & cauliflower cheese – and our kids mini roast for the little ones too. Booking recommended, but not strictly necessary.

WANDERING PALATE.
Founded in Monton, we have Wandering Palate’s Manchester outpost located by our door. Stocked with the food and drink that they’ve carefully sourced over years of travelling and building friendships, their shelves are stocked with the finest wines, craft beers, artisan cheeses, charcuterie, specialist coffee, and plenty more besides.
Stock is seasonal, fresh, and ever-changing – and always worth popping your head in to see what’s good at the moment, any time of the day.
